Kuala Lumpur, 26th January 2024 – CARSOME, Southeast Asia's largest integrated car e-commerce platform, ushered in the Year of the Dragon with a series of vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations across its Malaysian offices and branches. The event not only marked the festive season but also underscored CARSOME's commitment to fostering a strong, inclusive company culture.

The celebrations kicked off with a mesmerizing lion dance performance, a traditional symbol of good luck, which set the tone for the joyous occasion. Employees were treated to playful interactions with Choy San mascots, bringing smiles and laughter to the event. The highlight of the celebration was the tossing of Yee Sang, a traditional prosperity salad, where employees from every branch joined in the ritual to wish for a prosperous year ahead. CARSOME extended the spirit of the celebration beyond the central offices. Yee Sang was distributed to branch employees, ensuring everyone could partake in this cherished tradition.

Adding a unique twist to the festivities, CARSOME's signature SkillFuel program—known for empowering employees with valuable skills—was adapted for the occasion. Employees were invited to learn the art of making pineapple tarts, a beloved Chinese New Year treat, in a session that promoted cultural exchange and shared learning.

Additionally, a lighthearted introduction to Mahjong, a popular Chinese tile game, offered employees an engaging way to appreciate Chinese traditions. The celebrations culminated in a special movie night featuring Marvel’s “Shang-Chi,” where a relaxed atmosphere and a festive popcorn cart helped employees unwind, connect, and enjoy a true cinema experience together.

Employees also had the opportunity to learn Mahjong, a popular Chinese tile game that is often played during the Lunar New Year.

The Chinese New Year celebration provided a fantastic opportunity for the team to unite, embrace the festive spirit, and create lasting memories beyond the workplace.
