Eric Cheng co-founded CARSOME in 2015 which has evolved to become Southeast Asia’s largest automotive ecosystem powered by data and technology and Malaysia’s first tech unicorn. From its regional headquarters in Malaysia, CARSOME has expanded to become a market leader in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines. With his combined knowledge in accountancy, business development, digital marketing and strategy, as Group CEO, he leads the overall strategic direction of the business across multiple verticals and expansion strategies. 

In line with Eric’s efforts to revolutionize the next frontier of Southeast Asia’s automotive industry, Eric was appointed as a Board Member of Endeavour Malaysia, which is part of a leading high-impact entrepreneurship movement around the world. His entrepreneurial achievements have led him to be recognized as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Emerging Entrepreneur - Malaysia) 2019, in addition to being placed amongst Southeast Asia Disruptors by Wild Digital 2021. Beyond his work with CARSOME, Eric is an active member of the Southeast Asian startup community and serves as an advisor to various other startups.
