Eric Chan

President and Chief Operating Officer, CARSOME

Eric Chan, an automotive industry veteran, joined CARSOME as President and Chief Operating Officer on March 1, 2024. With a remarkable 27-year tenure at Jardine Cycle & Carriage, Eric Chan brings extensive operational experience in the automotive sector to CARSOME.

Beginning his career as a ground-level car sales professional, he advanced to hold dual roles as Regional Managing Director for Cycle & Carriage in Singapore, Malaysia, and Myanmar and as the Country Managing Director for Singapore in 2019.

Eric Chan’s corporate experience includes being Chairman of the Cycle & Carriage Bintang board and as a Commissioner on the Board of PT Tunas Ridean TBK (Tunas Group). Additionally, he is an independent director at AcroMeta Group Limited.

Throughout his career, he has helped transform businesses and achieve sustained financial growth, even in challenging market conditions. Notably, under his leadership, Cycle & Carriage Singapore emerged as the largest automotive retailer in the country.

Eric Chan's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Social Sciences, with a focus on Economics and Sociology from the National University of Singapore. He has also completed the SID-SMU Directorship Programme, the first executive directorship certification program in Singapore.
