Mohd Afifi Zahari is a seasoned Human Resources (HR) leader with two decades of expertise spanning retail, insurance, and e-commerce sectors. Currently the Chief People Officer at CARSOME, Afifi has played a pivotal role in scaling the organization from 600 to over 3,000 employees across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Since joining as Human Resources Director in 2020, his leadership in the People and Culture division has been instrumental in driving transformative initiatives that have significantly enhanced human capital optimization and operational efficiency across the Group.

Prior to joining CARSOME, Afifi held strategic HR roles at Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Tesco Stores (M) Sdn Bhd, where he led organizational restructures, managed complex change management processes in unionized environments, and championed the development of future leaders. His extensive expertise in HR Business Partnering, Industrial Relations, Change Management, and Project Management, complemented by his Strategic Human Resources Business Partner Certification from the Human Capital Institute (HCI), has been pivotal in driving organizational transformation. Afifi's strategic acumen earned him recognition as one of the 40 Under 40 Asia HR Leaders in 2022, underscoring his commitment to aligning human capital strategies with business goals to achieve organizational excellence.
